Do I need a separate payment processor?
Animal Friends OS integrates with your existing processor (Stripe). We don't add a layer of fees on top — you pay your processor's standard rate, and that's it.
How does text-to-pay work exactly?
When you mark a service complete, hit "send invoice." The client gets a text with a secure payment link. They open it, tap their saved card or enter a new one, and pay in 15 seconds. You see "paid" in your dashboard instantly.
What happens if a card on file declines?
The system automatically sends the client a payment failure notification via SMS with a link to update their card. Three strikes and you get an alert to follow up manually.
Can I require deposits for all bookings, or just specific services?
Both. Configure deposit requirements per service type — you might require a deposit for boarding (high-value, multi-day) but not for a quick nail trim. Completely customizable.
Is there a transaction fee on top of the Stripe rate?
