Animal Friends OS
Mobile grooming software

Mobile grooming software that plans the drive, not just the groom.

A real route board for every van: road miles and drive time between stops, one-tap route optimization on every plan, online booking that knows where the van will be, ETA texts, and payment at the door. All in the same system as your salon, boarding and daycare.

No credit card to start · first van included · month to month

Animal Friends OS mobile grooming route board: five van tabs with driver swap, today’s appointments and expected revenue, a profit strip showing net profit and effective hourly rate, and a map with six numbered stops
The route board on the web dashboard. Demo account: every name and address is invented.

For a van, the drive is part of the job.

Salon software treats every booking as a time slot. A mobile groomer also has to get there. Animal Friends OS treats the route as the schedule.

Fewer miles

A route you can trust

Every leg is measured on real roads, with drive time and distance between stops. If routing is ever unavailable, the number is labelled as an estimate instead of passed off as a measurement.

Fewer phone calls

Clients know when you are close

One-tap ETA texts from your business number, or a live van link, mean fewer “where are you?” calls while you are driving.

Real margins

Know which stops pay

Profit per job after the drive, fuel and paid time, from your own costs. Revenue alone hides a stop that costs more to reach than it earns.

Route board

Optimise the day in one tap. Then see the drive between every stop.

Stops are numbered in route order, with the drive time and road miles to the next one. Press Optimise route and the day is re-ordered for the shortest total drive, saved, and reported back with the miles and minutes it saved. Prefer your own order? Drag stops on the dashboard.

  • Written turn-by-turn directions for each leg, printable for the van
  • A Navigate hand-off to Apple Maps or your Android maps app from every stop
  • A day strip: appointments, completed, remaining, expected revenue, estimated miles
  • Day-load warnings when long or heavy-coat grooms are stacked, based on how long those pets actually took before

Built for the days that go wrong.

Most route tools stop at putting stops in order. These handle the problems a mobile groomer usually sorts out by phone.

Weather

Rained out?

Proposes where each stranded stop could go across the rest of the week, choosing slots that add the least driving. Nothing moves until you say so.

Cancellations

Fill the gap

Ranks which clients to offer an opening to: reachable between the stops either side, most overdue for their usual visit, least extra driving. One tap texts the offer.

Fleets

Stops on the wrong van

Compares vans against each other and suggests moves or swaps that cut the combined miles, checked against appointment times and real road routing.

Online booking

Slots the van can reach

The booking widget hides times the van could not reach between its other stops, and turns away addresses outside your ZIP list or radius.

Overbooking

A warning before 11am

Estimates how long the day really takes from that pet’s own history, then breed, then size, and says when the estimate is a guess.

Margins

Profit per job

Revenue, miles, drive time, net profit and effective hourly rate for the day, from the costs you enter. It never invents a fuel price.

Rained out, fill the gap and fleet suggestions are for owners and managers. Profit per job, fill the gap and drive-time checks are on Professional and Premium, and every trial gets everything.

At the van

Everything about the stop on one screen.

In the Animal Friends OS app, each groomer sees only their own stops. A stop moves from On the way to Arrived to Grooming to Done. Finishing raises the invoice automatically.

  • ETA texts in one tap (10 to 45 minutes), from your business number. If a text cannot go (an opt-out, or outside texting hours) the app tells you
  • Live van link that shows the client the van approaching (iPhone, with the $29.99/month GPS add-on and your permission to share)
  • Two-way texting per stop, from the van’s, the groomer’s or the business number
  • Agreements: see what is unsigned and text the client a link to sign. Carrying on without a signature is recorded
  • Photos taken on the phone and sent to the client
  • Payment: a Dejavoo terminal assigned to the van, a pay link, or cash and check with tip and change
What is not available yet: Tap to Pay on the phone (taking a card on the phone itself with no reader), live van sharing on Android, and route optimization inside the phone app. Optimization and the map are on the web dashboard, which works in a phone or tablet browser.
Clients & texting

The pet, the payment and the conversation together.

Breed, weight, temperament and how they like the cut sit next to the service, the price and the text thread. Outside your texting hours a reply is held and sent in the morning, so nobody gets woken up.

Fleet

One van or ten, run it by the truck.

Schedule by person or by van. In van mode the day belongs to the truck, and you can swap the driver for the day without touching the route.

  • Van records with mileage, service due, generator hours due, and a fuel log that works out cost per gallon and cost per mile
  • A 30-day van scorecard: stops, revenue, routed miles, revenue per mile, drive time as a share of the day
  • Deposit rules you can set for mobile grooming separately from salon grooming

Mobile grooming software: common questions

What is mobile grooming software?

Software that runs a grooming business that goes to the client: booking with a service address, a route for each van, the drive time between stops, texts that tell a client when you are close, and taking payment at the van. Animal Friends OS does all of that inside the same system that runs salon grooming, boarding and daycare.

Does Animal Friends OS optimize my route automatically?

Yes, on every plan including Starter. One tap re-orders a van’s day for the shortest total drive using real road routing, saves the new order so the board and your maps hand-off agree, and tells you how many miles and minutes it saved. You can still drag stops into your own order on the dashboard.

Can it manage more than one van?

Yes. You can run the schedule by person or by van. In van mode a day belongs to a truck, and the driver of the day can be swapped without disturbing the route. Owners see every van as a tab; groomers only see their own stops. For owners and managers it also suggests stops that would be cheaper on a different van, checked against real road routing and the appointment times, and never moves anything by itself.

Can clients book a mobile groom online?

Yes. The booking widget asks for the service address, turns away addresses outside the ZIP codes or radius you set, and hides time slots the van could not physically reach between its other stops. If routing is ever unavailable it leaves the slot open rather than lose you a booking. You can set an arrival window, such as two hours, that is stamped on the booking.

How do I tell a client I am on the way?

From the stop in the Animal Friends OS app, tap a one-tap ETA (10 to 45 minutes) and the client gets a text from your business number. If you have the live GPS add-on, you can instead text a live link that shows the van coming toward them. It ends when the trip does and never shows the rest of your day.

How do I take payment at the van?

Three ways today: a Dejavoo card terminal assigned to the van and run from the phone (with a lock that stops a card being charged twice when a signal drops), a pay link texted or emailed to the client, or cash and check recorded with the tip and change worked out. Tap to Pay on the phone itself is not available yet.

Does it work without cell signal?

Partly, and we would rather tell you than have you find out. Live van GPS points are queued on the phone and sent when signal returns. The route board and stop screen need a connection to load. If you groom in areas with no signal at all, plan for that.

How much does mobile grooming software cost with Animal Friends OS?

Plans are $69, $109 or $169 a month, plus a one-time $49 activation. Your first van is included. Each extra van is $69 a month for vans 2 to 5, $59 for vans 6 to 10 and $49 after that. Profit per job, fill-the-gap and drive-time checks are on Professional and Premium. Live GPS tracking is an optional $29.99 a month add-on.

Can I see if a van is actually profitable?

Yes, on Professional and Premium. Enter your own costs and the board shows each day’s revenue, miles, drive time, net profit and effective hourly rate. It never guesses a fuel price or a wage: if you have not set a cost, it asks. A 30-day van scorecard compares vans on revenue per mile and how much of the day is spent driving.

What happens when weather wipes out a day?

Press Rained out? and the system proposes where each stranded stop could go over the rest of the week, choosing slots that add the least driving and that the van can actually reach. It never moves a booking by itself, because each one is a conversation with a client, and it tells you plainly about any stop it could not place.

Do my groomers need an app?

Groomers use the Animal Friends OS app on iPhone or Android, available on the App Store and Google Play, to work their stops. Live van sharing with clients is iPhone-only today. Route optimization and the map live on the web dashboard, which works in any phone or tablet browser.
